Biography
Bill Laswell brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Laswell started his entertainment career with his music in films like "Fast Forward" (1985), "Wall Street" (1987) and the action movie "Colors" (1988) with Sean Penn. His music also appeared in "Basquiat" (1996) with Jeffrey Wright and "Gravesend" (1997). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Laswell's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the drama "Stowaways" (1997) with Ovidiu Balan, the Todd Field drama "Broken Vessels" (1999) and the Edyta Olszowska drama "Elvjs & Merilijn" (2000). His work was also in "Mondialito" (2000) and "Along Came Polly" (2004) with Ben Stiller. Laswell's music was also featured in the Andy Samberg comedy "Hot Rod" (2007), the thriller "Rendition" (2007) with Reese Witherspoon and the Leonardo DiCaprio dramatic adaptation "Body of Lies" (2008). His music was also featured in the comedy "The Promotion" (2008) with Seann William Scott. Laswell's music was most recently featured in the romance "Only Lovers Left Alive" (2014) with Tilda Swinton.
