Neal Lerner was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He had an early role on the television special "Hyde in Hollywood" (PBS, 1990-91). He also appeared in the TV movie "Fire in the Dark" (CBS, 1991-92). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "And the Band Played On" (HBO, 1993-94). Following that project, he worked on "Daddy Dearest" (Fox, 1993-94) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). He also appeared in the comedic adventure "Larger Than Life" (1996) with Bill Murray. during these years More recently, he tackled roles on "Deadline" (Bravo, 2000-01) and "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-). Lerner took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the comedic drama "The Visitor" (2008) with Richard Jenkins and the comedy "Our Idiot Brother" (2011) with Paul Rudd. Most recently, Lerner appeared in "Orange is the New Black" (2012-).
