Biography
Joe Lerer was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Lerer acted in comedies like "No Small Affair" (1984) with Jon Cryer and Demi Moore and "Peggy Sue Got Married" (1986) with Kathleen Turner and Nicolas Cage. He also starred in the TV movies "A Whisper Kills" (ABC, 1987-88) and "Kiss Shot" (CBS, 1988-89). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the dramatic comedy "Tucker: the Man and His Dream" (1988) with Jeff Bridges, the comedy "Transylvania Twist" (1989) with Robert Vaughn and "Taking Care of Business" (1990) with James Belushi. He also appeared in the TV special "Dead Right" (HBO, 1989-1990). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Stolen: One Husband" (CBS, 1989-1990). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the D.B. Sweeney thriller "Blue Desert" (1991), "Article 99" (1992) and the comedy "Made in America" (1993) with Whoopi Goldberg. He also appeared in the Macaulay Culkin comedy "Getting Even With Dad" (1994). He also was featured in the TV movie "Flashfire" (HBO, 1994-95). Lerer more recently acted on "Nash Bridges" (CBS, 1995-2001).
