Biography

Stefan Kurt is a dramatic actor from Switzerland recognized for his roles in thriller and crime television series and films. After his first major film role as Karl in the 1997 drama "Martha's Garden," He continued working in both film and television, appearing in both series and made-for-television movies. The German film "4 Minutes" remains among Kurt's best known parts. He played Direktor Meyebeer in the drama about a music teacher who gives piano lessons at a women's prison. The film took home several awards, including the 2007 German Film Award for Best feature Film in Gold as well as top honors at the Shanghai and Reykjavik international film festivals, and was released in the United States on April 8, 2008. He was then given the opportunity to move in a different direction, adding a comedic touch to historical figure Albert Speer in the 2007 German film "My Fuhrer" (originally titled "Mein Führer - Die wirklich wahrste Wahrheit über Adolf Hitler"; also known as "Mein Furher: The Truly Truest Truth About Adolf Hitler"). Speer was a German architect who worked for the Third Reich. The film was a satirical comedy about Hitler's preparation for his 1945 New Year's speech, described as combining elements of "Great Dictator" and "The Producers." He continues to appear in television and film projects throughout Germany and abroad.
