Biography
Talented musician, actor, and music producer Joshua Keaton began his performing career at a young age. As a child, he began providing his voice to animation projects. His first gig came when he was just 11 years old, performing in "Captain Planet and the Planeteers." He went on from there to specialize in voice acting, playing characters like blanket-toting thumb-sucker Linus Van Pelt in "Snoopy's Reunion," young Hercules in Disney's 1997 production of "Hercules," and 16-year-old Jack Darby, friend of the Autobots in 2010 in the TV series "Tranformers: Prime." His best-known character is Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spider-Man, in the animated series "The Spectacular Spider-Man" from 2008 to 2009. In addition to animation, his voice can be heard in multiple video games, like the Spider-Man games "Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops" and "Terminator: Salvation." Although most of his credits are voice roles, Keaton also has a live-action career, which began with a bit part as a dancer in the 1992 film "Newsies," a musical about the true story of newspaper boys going on strike in 1899 in New York. In 2000, he landed a recurring role, playing bad boy Brendon, on the daytime soap "The Young and the Restless," which he held for six episodes. And in 2004, he appeared in two episodes of the sitcom "Will & Grace," playing Sal, the charming cousin of one of the regular characters. As a singer, he was a member of '90s boy band No Authority.
