Biography

Seth Jarrett terrified a lot of people in Hollywood. As producer on the long-running reality show "Celebrity Ghost Stories" (Biography 2009-15) he brought everyone from Carrie Fisher and Daryl Hannah to Alice Cooper and Chaka Khan's close encounters with the supernatural to the small screen.

Jarrett's TV career started working on live concerts at MTV, VH1 and in particular producing the Custom Concert series for Oxygen, featuring artists such as Melissa Etheridge (2001), Macy Gray (2003), Goo Goo Dolls (2003) and LeAnn Rimes (2004). This was followed by "Rocked with Gina Gershon" (IFC 2004) a reality show which followed the actress' move from actress to rock singer. Seth's production company Jarrett Creative was also behind Disney's fly on the wall series "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream" (2008-2010).

Jarrett Creative launched the successful brand "Celebrity Ghost Stories" in 2009, with a quirky mix of phantasms, poltergeist and film, TV and music stars. Jarrett took a producer credit and directed many of the episodes himself. A British edition began in 2011, followed by a spin-off, "The Haunting Of..." (Biography 2012). Jarrett capitalized on the show's success with similar reality shows such as "Celebrity Close Calls" (Biography 2010-11),which saw the likes of Peter Fonda, Lou Diamond Phillips and Scott Baio recalling their own near-death experiences. "School Spirits" (SyFy 2012) told real life tales of haunted schools, colleges and universities across America.

Not every show from Jarrett Creative had a scary premise. "The Houstons: On Our Own" (Lifetime 2012) focused on the aftermath of the untimely death of R&B singer Whitney Houston; the series attracted controversy for documenting the growing romantic relationship between Houston's teenage daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon, whom Houston had unofficially adopted. Jarrett teamed up with friend and co-producer Donnie Wahlberg for "Boston's Finest" (TNT 2013-14), a documentary series that followed the personal and professional lives of police officers in Boston.
