Biography
Paul Kruger was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Kruger's earliest roles were in film, including "The First Auto" (1927), "Hello, Everybody!" (1933) and "The Pursuit of Happiness" (1934). He also appeared in the Edward G Robinson action flick "Tampico" (1944). He kept working in film throughout the forties and the fifties, starring in "Act of Violence" (1948), "Canon City" (1948) and "Broken Lance" (1954) with Spencer Tracy. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in "Demetrius and the Gladiators" (1954) with Victor Mature and the Elizabeth Taylor dramatic adaptation "Giant" (1956). Kruger was most recently credited in "Erich Segal's Only Love" (1997-98). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "On Trial" (NBC, 1955-56). Kruger passed away in November 1960 at the age of 65.
