Biography
James Ingram worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Ingram started his entertainment career with his music in films like "Best Friends" (1982) with Burt Reynolds, "Fast Forward" (1985) and "The Slugger's Wife" (1985) with Michael O'Keefe. His music also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Color Purple" (1985) with Danny Glover. In the nineties, Ingram's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the dramatic adaptation "Sarafina!" (1992) with Leleti Khumalo. Ingram was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Beethoven's 2nd" in 1993. In addition to his music, Ingram also appeared on-screen in "Nissan Presents a Celebration of America's Music" (ABC, 1996-97) and "One Day" (Disney, 1997-98). Most recently, Ingram acted on "Suburgatory" (ABC, 2011-14).
