Biography
Freddie Hubbard worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Hubbard began his career with roles in "Jazz in Exile" (1982), "Round Midnight" (1986) with Dexter Gordon and "Late Night With David Letterman Sixth Anniversary Show" (NBC, 1987-88). Hubbard also appeared in "Wolf Trap Salutes Dizzy Gillespie: An All-Star Tribute to the Jazz Master" (PBS, 1987-88), "Showtime Coast to Coast: The London Sessions" (Showtime, 1990-91) and "Abbey Lincoln, You Gotta Pay the Band" (PBS, 1992-93). He also worked on "Lush Life" (Showtime, 1993-94). Hubbard's music was most recently featured in the romantic comedy "Brown Sugar" (2002) with Taye Diggs.
