Biography
Leading light of the Danish film industry who has garnered an enviable collection of international awards, including: a Moscow Film Festival special jury prize for "Twist and Shout" (1985), two London Film Festival outstanding film of the year awards, for "Zappa" (1983) and "Beauty and the Beast" (1984), and nine "Roberts," the Danish equivalent of the Oscar. Holst has worked frequently with director Bille August, most notably on "Pelle the Conqueror" (1987), winner of the best foreign film Oscar and the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
