Barbara Hendricks was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Falstaff" (1985-86), "The Night of Music: A Global Celebration" (PBS, 1986-87) and "Bernstein at 70" (PBS, 1988-89). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Christmas at Pops" (1990-91), "Christmas in Washington" (NBC, 1990-91) and "An American Reunion: The 52nd Presidential Inaugural Gala" (CBS, 1992-93). More recently, she earned a role in "La Boheme" (1989). Hendricks had a number of different projects under her belt in the nineties, including "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks (1993), "Emanuel Ax, Yo-Yo Ma and Friends: A Celebration of "Hausmusik"" (PBS, 1995-96) and "The Rake's Progress" (PBS, 1995-96). Her credits also expanded to "The Proprietor" (1996) starring Jeanne Moreau. Hendricks most recently appeared in "The Nobel Peace Prize 100th Anniversary Concert" (USA, 2001-02).
