Henderson began his acting career with roles in the series "ER" (1994-2009), "Maybe This Time" (ABC, 1995-96) and "The West Wing" (NBC, 1999-2006). He also appeared in "24" (Fox, 2001-2010). He continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Crossing Jordan" (2001-07), "Missing" (Lifetime, 2002-05) and "Joan of Arcadia" (CBS, 2003-05). He also appeared in "Boston Legal" (2004-09). Recently, he tackled roles on "Criminal Minds" (2005-), "Related" (WB, 2005-06) and "Justice" (Fox, 2006-07). He also appeared in "The Nine" (ABC, 2006-07). He also appeared in the Trace Adkins comedy "An American Carol" (2008). Henderson most recently acted on "HawthoRNe" (TNT, 2008-2011).
