Mark King was an accomplished actor, noted for his comedic timing in his roles for television shows. King began his acting career with roles in the series "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993) and "National Lampoon's Hot Flashes" (1983-84). He had an early role on the television special "America 2100" (ABC, 1978-79). In the beginning of his Hollywood career, King acted in films like "Caveman" (1981). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Investigators" (HBO, 1984-85). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Rodney Dangerfield: Exposed" (ABC, 1984-85) and "The Cracker Brothers" (NBC, 1984-85). He also was featured in the TV movie "Alistair MacLean's Night Watch" (USA, 1995-96). Most recently, King worked on "The Land Girls" (1998) with Catherine McCormack.
