Biography
Tall, goofily-grinning comic, Henton is best known for his scene-stealing antics as upstairs neighbor Overton Wakefield Jones on Fox's hit series "Living Single". Winning the regular spot marked Henton's TV series debut after a ten year struggle in standup comedy. Henton got his start playing clubs in his hometown Cleveland. He eventually sought to improve his prospects for an entertainment career by heading west to L.A. A 1991 appearance on Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show" was a launching pad to bookings on "The Arsenio Hall Show", "Showtime at the Apollo" and a Bob Hope television special. On the road, he opened for such acts as The Pointer Sisters, Kool and the Gang, Kenny Loggins and Kenny G.
