Biography

Pat Healy is a prolific American actor who has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies. Healy began his career during the late 1990s, initially turning up in walk-on television and movie roles, including the Hollywood feature "Home Alone 3" and the legal series "The Practice." By 1999, he had a brief recurring stint on the procedural drama "NYPD Blue" under his belt, and also appeared in the acclaimed ensemble film "Magnolia," directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Tom Cruise and Julianne Moore, among others. Continuing to juggle movie and TV projects, Healy had guest spots on the darkly humorous drama "Six Feet Under" and the medical show "Grey's Anatomy." In 2006, he played a supporting part in Werner Herzog's well-received POW film "Rescue Dawn," starring Christian Bale, and the following year, he scored a lead role in the low-key comedy "Great World of Sound," which follows the exploits of a young music talent scout. Subsequently, Healy primarily stuck to film acting, with minor parts in the moody Western "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" and the quirky indie "Dirty Girl" before another starring performance, this time in Ti West's eerie supernatural movie "The Innkeepers," which also featured Sara Paxton and Kelly McGillis. In 2012, Healy reunited with "Great World of Sound" director Craig Zobel to appear in his unsettling drama "Compliance."
