Biography

Andy Harries started out as a movie producer, but focuses most of his talents on television these days. Harries worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Doctor Zhivago" (2003-04), "Funny Business" (PBS, 1993-94) and "Lenny Live" (1989) starring Lenny Henry. He also contributed to "Putting It Together: The Making of the Broadway Album" (HBO, 1985-86), "The Forsyte Saga" (2004) and "The Misadventures of Margaret" with Parker Posey (1998). Harries won a Film BAFTA Award for "The Queen" in 2007. Harries was nominated for an Outstanding Miniseries Primetime Emmy Award for "Prime Suspect 6: The Last Witness" in 2004 as well as for an Outstanding Made For Television Movie Primetime Emmy Award for "Longford" in 2007. Harries won a BAFTA Award for "The Queen" in 2006 Most recently, Harries worked on "Madiba" (2017).
