British-born Max Adrian was an actor who built himself a successful Hollywood film career. Adrian marked his early career with roles in "Henry V" (1944) with Laurence Olivier, the James Hayter comedic adventure "The Pickwick Papers" (1954) and "A Tale of Two Cities" (CBS, 1957-58). British-born Max Adrian was an actor who built himself a successful Hollywood film career. Adrian marked his early career with roles in "Henry V" (1944) with Laurence Olivier, the James Hayter comedic adventure "The Pickwick Papers" (1954) and "A Tale of Two Cities" (CBS, 1957-58). He then acted in "The Count of Monte Cristo" (1958-59), "The Deadly Affair" (1967) with James Mason and the Twiggy musical comedy "The Boy Friend" (1971). He also appeared in the Vanessa Redgrave period drama "The Devils" (1971) and the biopic "The Music Lovers" (1971) with Richard Chamberlain. Later in his career, Adrian appeared in "Point Counterpoint" (PBS, 1972-73). Adrian passed away in January 1973 at the age of 70.
