Synopsis

Overhearing a train conductor describe wealthy Mrs. Kilbourne's penchant for taking in hoboes, Wade Rawlins maneuvers her into hiring him as a chauffeur. The other members of the Kilbourne family object, and their butler, William, is particularly suspicious, but Wade wins them over one by one--especially elder daughter Eileen, who falls in love with him. William is the last to relent--when he recognizes Wade as a former British Army officer--and the chauffeur reveals his past experiences as a well-bred English gentleman and Canadian bootlegger.
