Synopsis

Billy and Timmy, the two young sons of grade school principal Harry Davis, follow the instructions given them by a gypsy and discover how to change themselves into bears. One day they run away from home and school to play in the woods with a mother bear who cares for them. When they return home, they perform their transformation feat before their astonished father. Stunned at first, but then filled with paternal pride, Harry races out to tell all the townspeople about the miracle. The pandemonium that ensues delights the two boys but prompts Harry's superiors to suggest that he undergo psychiatric treatment. When the school board gathers to discuss Harry's dismissal, Billy and Timmy demonstrate their prowess and vindicate their father. Harry is reinstated as principal, and everyone heaves a sigh of relief when the youngsters become more interested in football than in being bears.
