Synopsis

When fireman Dad Morton is killed on duty, leaving his two motherless children, Milly and Jimmy, orphans, two firemen, Dan and Beauty, propose to take the children into their care but are rejected because of their single status. Each, unknown to the other, decides to solve the problem by getting married. Dan proposes to Neeta, and she accepts. Milly is heart-broken over the news of their engagement, and Neeta notes her adoration of Dan; but Dan is arrested on the orphanage matron's charge of contributing to the delinquency of minors. Later, after his release, he realizes his feelings for Milly, prompted by Neeta. A fire breaks out in the orphanage, and the children are trapped. After the third alarm, Dan, though suspended, joins the firemen and rescues the children, including Milly, his bride-to-be.
