Synopsis
During the1990s civil war in Papau New Guinea, the last Englishman in Bougainville teaches the local children by reading them "Great Expectations," transporting a little girl who believes that the character Pip is her friend. Her passion for storytelling terrorizes to the village when Pip's identity is misunderstood by the invading army. Ultimately, her courage and imagination must sustain her if she is to survive. Based on the novel written by Lloyd Jones.
