Synopsis
Sandy Hopkins, an undercover agent for the U.S. Marshal's Office, is waiting at his ranch for a visit from his old friend Nevada McKenzie, a fellow undercover agent, when he is met by Sergeant Trevor of the Texas Rangers. Just as Trevor tells Sandy that he is tracking an escaping outlaw named Slim Ramsey, he is shot in the back by Ramsey, who then escapes on Sandy's horse. Nevada arrives at the ranch, and learning what has happened, tracks Ramsey to a nearby cabin, where the outlaw mistakes him for Rocky Saunders, another hunted man. Nevada continues the deception, and when he brags about his efficiency at selling stolen horses, Ramsey takes him to his boss, Farr, who makes Nevada part of the gang. After Tober, another outlaw, is shot by Farr for failing to meet his boss's expectations, Nevada takes him to the cabin of Sergeant Trevor's daughter Mary, where Paul, a Texas Ranger, waits to question him once he is nursed back to health. Meanwhile, Sandy arrives in town with a herd of horses, which he claims to have stolen from the Indians, and offers to sell them to Farr. The outlaw leader, however, learns of Sandy's true identity as a U.S. Marshal. Soon thereafter, another member of the gang discovers Tober at Mary's cabin, and after overhearing his confession to Paul, he summons the gang. Paul, in turn, rides off to find Nevada and Sandy. Farr and his men attack the cabin, but Mary and Tober are able to hold them off long enough for Nevada, Sandy, and Paul to arrive and capture the outlaws.

The working title of this film was The Texas Terror. The film was also reviewed under the title Navajo Trails. According to Hollywood Reporter news items, Henry Carr, Sam Appel and Boone Hazlett were cast, but their appearance in the released film has not been determined.
