Synopsis

Harry King, an attractive, unsophisticated young man living in a small Vermont town, bids farewell to his fiancée, Mary Wood, and his music students in hopes of selling his song to popular radio singer Brenda Lascelle, in New York. Having plenty of songs, Brenda refuses Harry's; but a sympathetic radio announcer, Al Pine, sneaks him into a party at Brenda's, where he makes a big hit. At the same party, Brenda has finally consented to marry Ward Hampton, the wealthy, vain, snobbish owner of the radio station, but Harry's confession of his love for her causes Brenda to waiver. To complicate matters, Mary arrives and explains the situation to Brenda, who nobly offers to step aside, but Harry finally learns of Mary's golddigging intentions, and he sends her back to Vermont.
