Miscellaneous Notes

Previous film versions of the classic Mark Twain tale include: "Huckleberry Finn" in 1920, and in 1931 with Jackie Coogan starring; "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" in 1939 with Mickey Rooney starring, and a 1960 version with Michael Curtiz as director; and a musical version directed by J Lee Thompson in 1974 once again under the title "Huckleberry Finn". There have been three television versions: in 1975, in 1981 and a PBS-American Playhouse version (also seen theatrically) in 1985.
