Synopsis

In depicting the training activities of the U.S. Army, the film pictures young men enlisting, performing drills and relaxing at the Citizen Soldiers' Camp at Plattsburgh, New York, and at the Military Academy at West Point. As trained soldiers, the men serve their country on the Mexican border. Similarly, in training for the U.S. Navy, prospective sailors study with officers at the Naval Training Station at Newport, Rhode Island, and at the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. As accomplished sailors, they are awarded berths aboard battleships, submarines and destroyers.

Notes

The film was produced "by the authority of the Federal Government." This is probably the same film as that which was copyrighted under the title America Prepared by Agnes Egan Cobb, president of the Egan Film Co., on June 30, 1916 (MU671).
