Synopsis
Following scenes of the Christ Child in the manger, the story is told of two couples--the wealthy Robert Marsh Sinclairs and the poor Fred Martins--and their contrasting lives. Both wives learn of their approaching motherhood at the same time, both fathers are pleased, but the women react very differently. Florence Sinclair fears any interference with her social life and begs her doctor for an abortion. The doctor refuses and assures Florence that she will feel different in time. Mae Martin, on the other hand, joyfully accepts her burden and carefully follows her physician's directions. Apparently, preparation and actual delivery of Florence and Mae are shown in considerable detail. Happily, Florence later realizes her error and regrets that she ever considered destroying her beloved daughter.
