Synopsis

Judy keeps house for her father, the Reverend Deady, and her younger sister Abigail. When Harriet Gray, a hard-hearted businesswoman, forecloses on the mortgage of the orphanage, the Deadys open their home to seven destitute children. This puts a financial burden on the Deady family, forcing Judy to find another job. Learning that Mrs. Gray is looking for a male servant who would not tempt her eligible son Horace, Judy disguises herself as a boy and is awarded the job. Judy's economical management of the household greatly impresses Mrs. Gray and when her disguise is discovered, she wins the heart of Horace. After Judy foils an attempted burglary in the Gray home, all ends well as she and Horace are married.
