Synopsis

Orphaned heiress Katherine "Kitty" Bradley is sent by her doting guardian to Miss Smyth's boarding school. With shocking behavior and mischievous pranks, Kit enlivens the school routine. While speeding along in her racing car, a punctured tire forces her off the road. Young artist Gerald Cameron stops to help, and the two immediately fall in love. Upon asking Kit's guardian for permission to marry, they are told that a clause in Kit's father's will forbids her from seeing her fiancé for six months before the wedding. Jealous of Gerald's model, Elanie Vernon, Kit visits the studio disguised as a maid and an Italian model. Later, masquerading as a "swell," she wins Elanie's affection. One day Kit's guardian calls on Cameron and catches them in an embrace. In spite of the will, the lovers decide to marry. After the wedding, Kit learns that the clause was intended to test the strength of her love, and she receives her inheritance.
