Synopsis

Susie Jones's father owns a hotel on the Mexican border. George Oliver Watson opens a gasoline station across the way; and Susie, unaware that he is a Secret Service agent sent to capture a band of contraband smugglers, is attracted to him. Two hotel guests, Hobart Rush and Philip Ashton, arouse George's suspicions, and he discovers incriminating evidence in the car of "Beauty" Strang, a surly-looking customer. Later, George confirms his suspicions by following Strang and Rush to a deserted cabin across the border and by intercepting certain messages. While he is arresting Ashton and Strang in the hotel, Rush, alarmed by gunfire, escapes in a car with Susie. George speeds to the rescue; and when the two cars are abreast, Susie leaps into George's car. Simultaneously, an explosion throws boulders across the roadway, sending Rush's car plunging down an embankment.
