Synopsis

A young fledgling documentary filmmaker, Christine Shaye, on her first important assignment, to capture on film the lyrical and awesome beauty of Africa. With hesitant approval of her demanding boss, Dan Walker, she begins a journey which will change not only the direction of the film, but also her life. Upon arriving in the Londolozi game preserve in South Africa, Christine meets the world famous conservationist John Varty. As their friendship develops, Varty introduces Christine to the law of the jungle and to the female leopard whom he has filmed for the past twelve years and her two young cubs. When the mother leopard is tragically killed, Varty chooses to violate his own jungle code and he rescues the two orphaned cubs. This act initiates a series of events in which Christine and Varty must fight off both the greed of man as well as the perils of nature in order to protect them.
