Synopsis

While driving through Oklahoma, Robert Duane, a wealthy New York youth, meets Colleen O'Brien, a schoolteacher who believes him to be the Duane chauffeur. Subsequently, Colleen's father strikes oil and comes to New York, bent on social conquest. When the O'Briens come to rent Duane's Long Island home, he continues to pose as the chauffeur and has the agent agree to rent the estate with the condition that he remain to drive their car. Ted Hanson, a society crook, persuades the family to give a dinner and invite his friends, and he induces O'Brien to buy a priceless tiara, which he plans to steal. Duane, realizing Hanson's duplicity, twice saves the jewelry. The ensuing struggle of Duane and O'Brien against the gang is ended by the police, and the lovers are happily united.
