Synopsis
Saina, who has been reared as a white girl by Captain Shane, a trader, falls in love with him and dreams of marrying him. On a trip to Bangkok, two of Shane's sailors resue Nona, an English girl, and she stows away on Shane's ship to escape Kwong Li, a Chinaman who desires her. Saina becomes jealous of the captain's attentions to Nona, and accidentally learning of her own halfcaste parentage, she conspires to deliver the English girl to Kwong Li. It develops that Saina is, in fact, a rajah's granddaughter and an inheritor of a throne. Eventually, she relents and leads Shane to the girl's rescue; he marries Nona, leaving Saina to her fate.
