Synopsis
After an increase in the price of silver, outlaw Bart Nelson arranges for his gang to smuggle Mexican silver into the United States through a mine owned by Jason Turner. Banker Steve Ferguson, who supplied the initial capital for the scheme, is the third member of the group. The gang kidnaps rancher Jim Willoughby after he discovers that the smugglers are using a ravine on his Flying Arrow Ranch. To investigate Willoughby's disappearance, Sheriff Armstrong summons former U.S. Marshal Tucson Smith. While making inquiries, Tucson is ambushed, but is rescued by his old friend Johnny Bronton, who is on a cattle-buying trip. Tucson then persuades Johnny to help him with the investigation. To the dismay of Red, Willoughby's foreman, Willoughby's daughter Jeanne becomes romantically interested in Johnny. Later, it becomes clear that someone is feeding information to the smugglers, and Johnny and Tucson set a trap for the informant. After the informant is captured, Ferguson is double-crossed by one of his partners. The remaining smugglers begin to fight among themselves, enabling Johnny and Tucson to capture them. Later, Willoughby is found unharmed. Johnny leaves the ranch, and Jeanne and Red continue their romance.
