Synopsis
Cowboy Tom Tracey constructs an airplane, which on its initial flight refuses to fly but rather taxis around the ranch to cause general wreckage including destruction of the automobile of Sheila Blaine, an authoress from the city seeking local color. As a result, Tom loses his job and finds himself appointed sheriff in a town that has been depleted of previous law officers by a gang of desperadoes. He discovers their hideout in the hills near a dormant volcano, and when Sheila is captured by the gang he fights the chief villain; then, with the aid of an airplane, he and Sheila escape from the spewing lava of a volcanic eruption.
