Synopsis

A wealthy and wild New Yorker named Larry Prentiss becomes involved in a drunken brawl and, imagining that he has killed dancer Hickey Trent, goes to Arizona under an assumed name in the company of his valet Hodges. En route to the Bar X Ranch, which is owned by the Prentiss family and managed by Matt Shannon, Larry and Hodges are robbed. Thus, when they arrive at the ranch looking like hoboes, Shannon, unaware of Larry's identity, puts them to work. Larry, now a hard-working cowboy, wins the love of Shannon's daughter Moya but incurs the enmity of ranch foreman "Flash" Purdy. When Purdy commissions some outlaws to rob the wagon that is conveying Matt and the payroll back to the ranch, Larry fights off the assailants and, the next day, soundly defeats Purdy in a fight. Through a telegram from his uncle, Larry learns that Trent was only stunned, and Matt, realizing that Larry actually owns the ranch, blesses the young man's marriage to Moya.
