Synopsis

Stuart Borden is infatuated with Aileen Alton, a notorious coquette who is interested only in men and money. When Stuart's debts become too high, his millionaire father cuts him off without a cent, and Aileen dumps him. Aileen later meets Stuart's father and soon has him in her coils. The elder Borden begins to neglect his family, and his wife gradually comes to know of his infidelity. Stuart does not know that his rival for Aileen's affections is his father, and, driven to despair, he goes to Aileen with the intention of killing whatever man he finds with her. Mrs. Borden learns of her son's plans and arrives at Aileen's house just in time to prevent patricide. The Bordens are considerably chastened by this experience and begin life anew, hoping to find peace again within the family circle.
