Synopsis
Orphaned as a result of a mine explosion, David Graham educates himself for the ministry with the help of Morton, a mine-owner. David accepts a position in a wealthy church, of which Morton is a member, in hopes of persuading his parishioners to improve the conditions of the miners. When Morton refuses to repair a mine shaft, David returns to his people. There is an explosion in which Morton and his daughter are trapped. David saves them and brings peace between Morton and the angry miners.
