Synopsis

After leading a life of boredom with her angelic first husband, young widow Georgiana Chadbourne begins her "search for a sinner" once her period of mourning ends. While staying at her brother-in-law Jeffrey's apartment, she meets Jack Garrison in Central Park and, hoping to arouse the devil in him, poses as Jeffrey's wife. Jack, an old friend of Jeffrey's, is shocked and telegraphs his pal to return immediately to watch his errant wife. Jack is on the brink of yielding to his tormentor when Jeffrey returns and explains that Georgiana is not his wife, but his sister-in-law. Thus, Jack is relieved at the revelation, Georgiana is satisfied with Jack's potential for wickedness, and the content couple weds.
