Synopsis
Goaded by his fiancée, Helen Sumner, into proving that he is a man of action, Bruce MacAllister tells Eugene Preston, his estate administrator, that he is going east for a meeting; but actually he mixes in the San Francisco underground incognito. When Bruce is mistaken for the well-known "Chicago Kid," he makes no objection and ends up leading the gang in a robbery of his own fortune in diamonds. He discovers Preston's intention to steal the jewels for himself, the loot changes hands many times, Helen calls the police, and the timely arrival of Helen's father straightens out matters.
