Synopsis
Bill Bruce, smuggler of Chinese laborers into the country, captures Doris Mansfield and forces her to marry him. Later, he is apprehended and sent to prison, but Doris, who was engaged to air coast patrolman Fred Norton before her marriage, does not explain her situation to her fiancé. He, thinking she no longer loves him, signs up for duty in France. Years later, Bruce, released from prison, seeks out his wife, who has had a child, and tries to make amends, but he falls into a well and suffers a fatal injury. Fred Norton, who has returned from France, marries Doris.
