Seven people awaken to find themselves on a boat in the ocean. After much delibertion they soon come to the conclusion that the ocean has no end. They also have no idea how they got on the boat or who the others are. Soon, however, they discover the horrible truth: They have all died recently, and are on the journey to be judged as worthy of Heaven or Hell.

Synopsis
First Mate Jim Bedford replaces alcoholic Captain Svenson when shipowner Rufus Brent requests the captain to command a maiden voyage on a yacht recently purchased for his daughter, Mary. Bedford falls in love with Mary and marries her (in spite of Brent's objections) at the end of the cruise. Brent is won over, however, when Bedford rescues his disabled yacht during a storm at sea.
