Synopsis

Soft-hearted lawyer Richard Clarke determines to get tough and collect the debts owed him. He begins with "J. Hudson," who happens to be Miss Jane Hudson, a very attractive damsel in distress. As her property is in danger of appropriation by dishonest oil speculators, Jane joins forces with Clarke; and together they raise enough money to finance oil-drilling operations. Incidentally, they fall in love.
