Synopsis

Drusilla Doane, a charity patient in a home for the aged, inherits a mansion and a million dollars from a distant relative and turns her new home into an orphanage, thereby infuriating her haughty neighbors. Colin Arnold, the disinherited son of the man who left Drusilla the money, is involved in an automobile accident, and Sally May, an orphan, saves his life, nursing him back to health. Colin and Sally May are married and find happiness together until Daphne Thornton, a gold digger, convinces Sally May that she is ruining Colin's chances of disputing his father's will. Sally May leaves Colin and, reduced to poverty, gives birth to a baby, which she attempts to leave on Drusilla's doorstep. She is arrested on a complaint filed by Drusilla's neighbors, who want to stop Drusilla's private charities. Colin and Sally May are reunited in court and go to live with Drusilla, who continues her good deeds.
