Synopsis

When Nora Nolan, a poor bargain basement clerk, faints from the heat, she is told to take a vacation. Reporter Jimmie Norton, the son of a millionaire, is nearby when she faints and sends her an anonymous $200 check. Nora goes to a fashionable seaside hotel where Jimmie also goes to pitch on the hotel baseball team after he is fired from the newspaper. He is called home just as Nora is accused of looting the bath houses. Nora catches jealous society girl Emily Westervelt-Moore planting evidence in her room, but Nora's money has been stolen, and she is forced to wash dishes. Nora discovers a plan to rob the hotel safe and catches the real thief, Lloyd Gregory, just as Jimmie and his father return. She wins the heart of both Jimmie and his father. Jimmie and Nora embrace in "the final close-up."
