Synopsis
Orphaned as a young girl, Audrey is left with an old couple by her guardian, Lord Haward. The couple ignores her and the neighbors shun her, so Audrey grows up on her own. After many years, Audrey meets Lord Haward once again. The guardian and his ward fall in love, which leads to Audrey's denunciation by the town minister. She is forced to leave the town, but in the end Lord Haward ignores the public outcry, finds Audrey and marries her.

Notes
This film was largely shot on location in Jacksonville, Fl. A copy of the play Audrey, by Harriet Ford and E. F. Boddington, which opened in New York on November 24, 1902, was included in the studio records for this film, although there is no indication in any sources that it served as a basis for the motion picture.
Austrian-born actress Margarete Christians (1900-1916) made her feature film debut in Audrey. She went back to Europe in the 1920s, but returned to the U.S. in 1933, after the Nazis came to power in Germany. Using the stage name Mady Christians, she made several American films during the 1930s and 1940s.
