Synopsis
Joyce Bragdon is engaged to John Waller, a young doctor who is popular with the ladies, and they go to a resort hotel to be married. Paula, one of John's married admirers, feigns illness and brings him to her room; consequently, Joyce breaks the engagement. Later, Paula is divorced and John plans to marry Ruth, a friend of William Bradford, John's pal, aboard Peter Chadwick's houseboat. Joyce wrecks her car nearby and is carried aboard; she sets the houseboat adrift in a storm. Joyce tells Peter that Paula loves him, and when the boat strikes a rock Peter saves Paula. All but John and Joyce flee to safety in a lifeboat. The morning finds Paula comfortably in the arms of Peter and John succumbing to the charms of Joyce.
