Synopsis

Helen Stuart, who is engaged to Monty Barnes, a young roustabout, is in the charge of Jack Peasley, who controls her estate. Peasley, using Helen's money, buys a block of railroad stock from Red Sweeney; when Peasley discovers that the bonds are worthless, Sweeney assures him that if Helen should be married before the age of 21, she would never detect the loss, for in that event the estate would revert to Peasley as guardian and uncle. In a plot to achieve this end, Helen is kidnaped; and Sweeney forces her to marry Monty, who is unaware of her identity. Monty, in trouble with the constable, leads the police a merry chase, while his father finds Peasley's bonds were issued by a railroad line he needs to complete a merger. After an exciting chase, Monty recovers the bonds and returns them to Helen, whom he discovers to be his wife.
