Synopsis
Vic Harding, a crooked eastern land speculator, learns of a proposed railroad spur that will increase the value of the Lawton ranch and conspires with Hank Martin to buy the property. Visiting the ranch, he falls in love with Madge, Lawton's daughter, flatters her about her singing, and uses this ingratiation to induce her to sell and move to the city. Larry Day, foreman, suspecting treachery, gives Harding a thrashing, discrediting him and his men in Lawton's eyes; but they detain Lawton until news from the railroad arrives. Madge rides to warn her father of the double-dealing, and Harding attempts to remove her; but Larry and his men attack them and, after a fight and chase, rescue the girl and discomfit the villains.
