Synopsis

Based on a true story, a man avenges the brutal murder of his parents by arranging the murder of the slayer. When Bill and Myrtle Moon are shot to death in a robbery attempt at their convenience store and two-pump gas station, Rudolph Tyner, a street kid from Harlem visiting South Carolina, is arrested, and an hour later confesses to the crime.

After a trial in which Tyner is sentenced to death, Tony Cimo, Myrtle's son, attempts to resume his life, satisfied that justice has been served. However, his nightmare just begins when he is informed that the death sentence is tantamount to serving life, because the state has not executed anyone in many years. Horrified by the thought Tyner could escape execution, Tony is later enraged when he learns that the trial is to be reheld.

The rage finally convinces him to act on an idea that has been secretly taking shape in his mind, which involves a convict named "Pee Wee" Haskins, a fellow inmate of Tyner's, and would forever put an end to the matter of Rudolph Tyner.
