Synopsis
In 1813, Capt. John Dale and Sgt. Abner Hawkins, members of General Jackson's Tennessee Militia, attempt to make a peace treaty with the Creek Indians who threaten war with the whites, but White Snake resists. Later, Dale comes into conflict with army rivals for Athalie, over whom he engages in a duel. He is reprimanded by General Jackson, but he soon falls in love with Lucy, the general's ward. When Lucy is captured by the Indians during the uprising, Dale rescues her and the army subdues the Creeks.
